Nationwide cell phone test set for today

first_imgWashington D.C. — Officials from FEMA say they will conduct a nationwide cell phone test today (Wednesday, October 3) at 2:18 p.m.The test was postponed from September 20 due to landfall of Florence in the southeast United States.Reports indicate the message will read as follows:THIS IS A TEST of the National Emergency Alert System. This system was developed by broadcast and cable operators in voluntary cooperation with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Communications Commission, and local authorities to keep you informed in the event of an emergency. If this had been an actual emergency an official message would have followed the tone alert you heard at the start of this message. The Orange blew out then-No. 8 Boston College 23-12.On Saturday, the sophomore attack was back at it.Murray tallied seven goals as the No. 2 Orange (5-2, 1-0 Big East) opened up conference play with a 20-8 victory over Connecticut (6-2, 0-1 Big East) in Storrs, Conn.Sophomore midfielder Katie Webster added a season-best five goals while junior attack Michelle Tumolo added five points on two goals and three assists.
